Narrative Now

Author your own future.

Through free community learning and direct support, we give people the skills, connections, and resources to pursue education, work, and independence on their own terms.

What We Do

Narrative Now helps people author their own futures. We teach the skills people need to plan what comes next, and we cover the practical costs that stand in the way of getting there.

Free to Attend

Every workshop and class is free, with no prerequisites and no application. Come as you are.

Open to Everyone

No barriers, no gatekeeping. Learning is richer when the room reflects the full diversity of our city.

Practical Help

When cost is the obstacle, need-based grants cover it — a laptop, an exam fee, a way to get to work.

Two Ways We Help

Skills and connections through Community Learning. Practical resources through Direct Support.

Community Learning

Free workshops and classes open to anyone — exploring careers, setting goals, speaking up for what you need, managing money, and preparing for what comes next.

Direct Support

Need-based grants for the concrete costs of a next step — a laptop for coursework, a certification exam fee, interview clothes, or the fare to get to training.

Why It Matters

Everyone has a story worth telling and a future worth building. Too often what stands in the way isn't talent or ambition — it's access. To people who can help. To a room where your questions are welcome. To the few hundred dollars that a certification exam costs.

Narrative Now exists to close that gap from both directions. We believe the richest rooms are the ones where people from different backgrounds, experiences, and walks of life learn alongside each other. Our programs are neurodivergent-affirming and built to be accessible to people of all abilities. We don't build separate spaces. We build better ones — inclusive by design.

People are the authors of their own futures. We help them get the pen.
